Director’s Note

We are put on this earth to achieve, to live out our purpose and to do it courageously. Each individual must contribute to make things better. My purpose, has always been to be an educator and my journey started as an English teacher in the year 1990. In the year 1996, we started ‘Step by Step’ nursery school which flourished and earned a reputation as one of the best nursery schools in the city.
In 2010, we took the big leap and started ‘Caelum High school and junior college.’ The goal was to give Pune a school that had its students at the heart of everything it does. Holistic development and happiness have always been key components about the environment at Caelum high. Our mission was to create a challenging and motivational environment that allows students and staff to maximise their potential. I can proudly say that we have achieved that and will continue to maintain the same high standards.
Extra curricular activities are an integral part of our curriculum, that being said, our Icse results are second to none. On average, 60 percent of our students score 90% or above and we can proudly say that every student that has graduated from Caelum high has graduated with distinction.
Our motto of courage, compassion and creativity runs through the entire organisation and all its students. Caelum in Latin, is a chisel shaped constellation of stars and all our caelumites are stars in their own right. Our faculty, comprising of the leading educators in the city, are the chisel that shape their future.
After being in the field of education for 35 years, I would like to end by saying that I want to be that teacher that when my students look back on their education, they feel love in their hearts, have a smile on their face and can truly say they knew that I care.
